Haye's keeps talking about his Cuban coach and going back to the fundamentals. I think he might try and be more careful and box off the jab in this fight, if the opportunity is there of course he will load up that straight right though.

7 months is that enough time for such a injury to heal? What are the chances of it happening again?

Achilles' tendon rupture/repair needs a year at least for recovery particularly in an athlete who puts higher demands on his body than the average person. Hayes may be the exception but he should be cautious about getting into the ring too soon.
