If so that's who I would blame. Puerto Rico had big problems before the hurricane...this disaster just brought everything to light.
Unfortunately, wealth, as it has been structured in humanity, stems from poverty. Those who have wealth obtain it by taking from others, whether it's their labor, money, or resources. Puerto Rico, as a colony, became a perfect target for the U.S. in that respect.

Yeah. That banking industry took full advantage of the tax exemption and then they sneaked out at the end too. Got a nice documentary on it if you wanna see it.

Go learn something before you speak.

Big banks and poor spending by Puerto Ricans government over the years led to poor conditions there and then God sent two strong hurricanes their way and He also sent hurricanes to Florida and Texas which got the majority of FEMA's inventory so not enough was available when it was time to help Puerto Rico.

Have I left out anybody who is to be blamed?

Puerto Rico is a colony. The U.S. used it as a tax haven, and, once NAFTA came to be, abandoned Puerto Rico. The U.S. kept its vulture loans around, though, just to keep the money flowing out of the island to the mainland.

No one knows. The government claims it's "almost all back," but it's been saying that for months, and there were and still are thousands of people without electricity. The government isn't a reliable source for anything because they coordinated with the U.S. to downplay the crisis and sell big-time contracts to Trump's friends.

Is that because of bad contracts? Or is it because of people being afraid of radiation?
