It's still surprising that LA couldnt get it done when payton and malone were there. 1 year is still 1 year of Kobe's career. Are you making up excuses for Bynum, or saying he's not worth mentioning?

if malone was healthy they could have beat the pistons.

      the pistons were smart.

they decided to shut down kobe and let shaq beat them.

it was an excellent gamble. shaq didn't have the stamina to keep it going all game , kobe never got his game on and shaq was worthless at the end of games.

did you read what that ****head bynum said in an interview?

he said he doesn't need kareem anymore.

that kareem has nothing left to teach him.

        wtf? stupid kid.

sit his ass on the bench. we don't need him.

saying that may support claims of Jordan's superiority, due to the fact that nobody shut him down in any Finals series.

maybe. different era though. different defenses.

look at the guys who guarded jordan in his days and compare them to who guards kobe.

ever seen jordan double teamed as he crossed half court?

ever seen jordan doubled without the ball?

ever seen jordan against a zone where everyone is keeping an eye on him and one guy is guarding him?

            different eras.

jordan will always be considered greater but kobe is better than jordan at some things. people just don't want to admit it.

different eras, true, and there were some VERY physical defenders in Jordan's era. I've seen Jordan doubled plenty, of course, you kidding? I'd say it's almost a given that defenders back then were more dedicated and physical then than they are now.

speaking of defense, how many times did Jordan make the All-Defensive team, in an era where one could argue that defense was much more glorified (i.e. players D'd up harder)

Today's defense were nothing compared to MJ's era
