Some men are born stronger, smarter, and more capable than others. Usually these would have been considered the alphas in ancient times. Today, they are just the guys who are successful business men, athletes, or entrepreneurs.
I might agree if everything wasn't so convoluted by money and wealth. our society has evolved to the point of natural order being virtually eliminated. many of the notions about hierarchy in animal groups has been since proven antiquated...in the wild they are usually in more of a family structure, where hierarchy is determined similar to our own families. many of the studies that led to the conclusions about alpha, beta etc. were done on individual animals put together in captive settings. this would be similar to studying human behavior in a prison.
