As I have pointed out numerous times I am pro union and pro worker. I am against right to work states. I think the single dumbest thing the mostly white, male, non college educated manufacturing/low and mid skilled workforce has done is succumb to the belief that unions hurt them and they are better off without them.

To your question-Most economists who have studied the issue argue that NAFTA’s effect on the net number of jobs was minimal. NAFTA helped the U.S. auto industry survive. NAFTA lost low skilled jobs for non-college educated Americans in rugs or furniture making or brick making. We gained design and business services jobs in autos and aerospace.

No, NAFTA didn't destroy working/middle class jobs. NAFTA created about 5 million U.S. jobs. About 682,900 U.S. manufacturing jobs were lost. That is a net gain of over 4 million jobs. It also reduced gov't spending.

Was NAFTA perfect, of course not. But lets stop blaming it and place blame where it deserves to be placed.

Greed, innovation, globalization, profit and most importantly the stupidity of the American worker believing they were better off without union protection destroyed middle/working class jobs in the US.

People need a wage that is in step with the cost of living in the US. of course if they had a body arguing for their benefit they might have that and more already.

But claims he didn't defend NAFTA.

Of course not! I’m not a racist f***nugget and I understand basic economics. Britain is about to be plunged into financial disaster, and all because the stupid general public got taken in by a scarecrow with a haystack where his hair should be who was backed by the six billionaires who own the majority of our newspapers.

I voted Liberal Democrat at the last election (not because I agree with them on anything much, but to try and unseat the sitting Tory MP. Didn’t work). Quick guide to the main UK parties:

Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) = Insane fundamentalist Protestant Christian Nazis from Northern Ireland. Currently hold the balance of power in their women-hating hands.

UKIP = Tea Party Republicans. The party of the proud, poverty-stricken racist. Heading for obscurity now it’s primary aim of Brexit has been achieved.

Conservatives/Tory Party = Moderate Republicans. Currently forming a minority government and clinging on to power with the help of selling their soul. Caught between the Devil and the DUP.

Liberal Democrats = Slightly to the left of the Democrats, but share their American namesake’s vapid identity crisis and complete lack of principles. Tag line: “Hey, at least we’re not the Tories!”.

Labour = were basically Democrats under Tony Blair, but have now returned to their Democratic Socialist roots. Currently riding a wave of left-wing populism and are now the largest political party in Europe. Would win an election if it was held tomorrow.

Plaid Cymru = The Party Of Wales. Good at being Welsh. Er. That’s about it.

SNP = Scottish Nationalists. Dream of creating a hardline socialist utopia/dictatorship in an independent Scotland.

Green Party = Just want everybody to get along and eat lentils. Well-meaning, but seemingly oblivious to the fact that people are basically c*nts.
