Tyson got hung out to dry for this but was he really the bad guy here? If you get butted, kneed, elbowed, low-blowed that many times.. is it any wonder he blew his top off?

Yes he was. Tyson did all of those things too in his prime, he was just more subtle and hid it better than Evander the Great. Listen to those old HBO shows where Tyson watches tapes from the old time boxers, he talks about how he incorporated all of their dirty moves into his own style.
He should have done all of that to Evander to combat it, but he was too scared to do it because Evander was beating him so badly mentally and physically. So he spit out his mouth piece, waited for the right moment and started biting to get out of the fight.
Look at how shook Tyson is in the staredown, this is the face of a beaten man. -
