Anyone read the whole list yet? I didn't want to scroll through 500 pages, though I've got the top 25 here... what the Hell No.7 is doing inside a top 500 is beyond me:

I mean, ****ing Hell... I LIKE "Hey Ya!" and all, but it's just fluff, innit? It would look out of place if it scraped to 418, let alone 18...

Genuine classic tracks from that top 25 (and I almost included Joy Division and The La's)...

          3. I Feel Love - Donna Summer
          9. Be My Baby - The Ronettes
          10. Good Vibrations -The Beach Boys
          11. Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles
          13. Live Forever - Oasis (I know, right? I was surprised when I picked it myself)
          14. God Only Knows -The Beach Boys
          15. "Heroes" - David Bowie
          17. A Day in the Life - The Beatles
          19. Heart of Glass - Blondie (Most of these are WAY too high though, and Atomic was their best)
          21. Ghost Town -The Specials
          23. Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks

Not even truly appreciated in their own time. Tragic.

But does anyone really think Blur made one of the 500 greatest songs ever?

And I say that as a Blur fan.
Ditto. At least one song from Sgt. Pepper or from The Bends/OK Comp.

Coffee and Teevee would be a shoo-in.

Yeah. It's like katie Bush's list (no pun).

Not even a song from the heavyweights in the top 25 (ie; Pink Floyd, CREAM, Queen, LedZep, Stone Roses) if it was really from a UK chart base.

And a David Bowie song at no. 15 which IMO is pretty weak lol

With that list they should include Afternoon delight in the top 5....skyrockets in flightiee...
