lol everyone (even Canada) claiming they won WWII. To be honest, I think the Germans were past prime by that point, shot (no pun) and ready to take a knee. They beat a couple of bums in Poland, France etc early in their career but it's much tougher when you step up in class and try to outlast atgs like UK and Russia as well as new hungry young lions like the US.

There were Canadian troops fighting in France prior to Dunkirk. Canada deployed 1.1 million soldiers over the course of the war from a population of 11 million, with hardly any conscripts. Ten percent of the entire population entered the war out of choice.

Canada did rather a lot in WWII.
