This is a huge mis Match and if British fans are really that naive and dumb then they deserve to have their money parted for watching this fight .

Point is British Media are going to turn this into an event so might as well enjoy the ride. Khan will not do any worse then Hatton.

Well if the Hatton vs Pacquaio comparison is inappropiate then how about Mike Tyson vs Julius Francis whole hype created by the British media was Fun... Everyone new it was a total mismatch Julius Francis even had the Soles of his Boots sponsored by a British Tabloid and had there logo on them for when he got knocked out.

The intriguing thing in this fight is not who will win but rather how long Khan will last.

Over the course of the next couple of months amount of Coverage in the Media by the British press is going to be insane.

I will watch, but I won't pay. If Canelo isn't able to win this fight via KO it will be a legitimate embarrassment for him.

Two big names, one bad match up.

Mayweather would be roasted for such a fight....

If Mayweather had a guy essentially move up 3 weight classes to fight he would get a whole lot of grief yet we celebrate Canelo for this fight. You have to be kidding. I like Khan (when he's not running his mouth) and Canelo but this is clearly a mismatch. 147 moving all they way up to fight Canelo who we saw rehydrate to a light heavy weight against Cotto. Khan will be an illegitimate 160lbs and Alvarez will be 180lbs solid. This will end brutally for Khan.

How do the deserving top contenders at 154 and 160 feel

How upset every legitimate contender at 154lbs and 160lbs who workded hard for years to get a title shot watches as an undeserving 140lb nothing like Amir Khan gets a chance at 160lb middleweight glory. Boxing is a disgrace now with no guidelines and is ruled by filth and greedy promoters and weak Boxing wimp organizations with zero power. Khan deserves nothing in boxing and this Canelo fight is a disgrace to the sport. Boxing is now more suited to be a cartoon than a legitimate sport. Let me go vomit.

In a better world the best would fight the best. Champs would fight legitimate contenders. Catch weights wouldn't exist for title fights and maybe they'd bring back same day weigh-ins.
But hey , this is boxing! Maybe get a few people together, have a few beers and watch the show. Who knows, the under card might be ok.

It's true that Khan has never been The Man at WW, like Hearns and Hagler before they moved up to fight Hagler. But Canelo isn't the Man at MW either.

Just when Canelo was starting to gain some respect, this happens!

JMM was a 126lb fighter with 1 fight at 135 when he moved up to face FM at 144. Marquez weighed in at 142 (FM didn't make weight paid the penalty and weighed in at 146)
So there's not much difference weight wise.Skill wise of course JMM was an elite fighter and Khan is a good fighter with a glass jaw.
