Being a good role model for young kids?

No, you'd rather drink yourself into a state of unconsciousness, punch your ex girl friend in the ear, cause car accidents, throw away money in casinos. Those are "good memories"?

Nice. You make a fine citizen for your country.

So, what you're saying is that because YOU feel that the whole 75 year thing is the right way to life- that everybody should feel/live like that?

Being a role model for young kids?! Dude, yes... obviously it would be cool for him to be a role model- but here's a newsflash: athletes do not have to be role models for kids! If a young football player starts throwing his life way because he saw Johnny Manziel do it, who's fault is that? Johnny's or the kids parents? Its up to parents to be role models for their kids, not athletes who have absolutely no clue who these kids looking up to them are.

I did NOT know he punched his girlfriend, or caused car accidents. TBH I honestly do not know the story- all I know is the media is always on his ass.... and the things that should NOT matter is him partying, spending money at the casino, etc... He can do what he chooses.

What makes you think that JOHNNY wants that 75 year old life? At the end of the day it matters what he wants, not whatever other people who aren't looking at the world through his eyes feel he should want

the people around him are not his friends. those aren't meaningful or fulfilling relationships. you don't spend your friend's money and let him kill himself and ruin his promising career. johnny manziel's real friends probably hate seeing him do this to himself, and are long gone.

sounds ylike you're young and naive yourself if you think this kid doesn't need help.
Nah, man. How do you know he's not happy? I understand what you're saying, but NE- the fact of the matter is not everybody has the same views on life as you or anybody else. I bet you 10000% he is happy. Has he ever sought some sort of help? Does he publically state he knows he needs rehab? Does he make depressing twitter posts/talk about suicide to the general public?

If yes, then okay, you do have a point. IF no.... Then you've got it all wrong, bro. If he is truly happy, let him make his mistakes and learn from them on his own. Just because he's not dedicated to football anymore and doesn't want to play does not mean he wants to kill himself and end his life.

I think you guys are all just blinded by the fact that this was some super cool, superstar of a college football player and you just want him to be this GOAT QB at the next level because of what he did in college..... If this was a regular person who you did not look up to based on his college athletics, it'd be just another person "yolo'ing," you feel me?

either that or he hung out with too many urban youngsters growing up. what a waste
He's a waste because he doesn't care about being great at the next level? Waste of potential? Sure. Waste of life? Cmon, be real here. You're upset at him because he's your hero. He does not give a **** about you or any other fans telling him what to do so you guys should probably just get over it.

He's one of the most prolific college football players of all time, and a millionaire at 24. If he's a waste, what is everybody else who never played college football or made millions?

Lol nah, I just don't give a crap about college football or Johnny Manziel's football career.

I'm not a fan, I'm looking at this from a neutral perspective. I think MANY people who are talking all this **** about him are doing it because of what I said in my last paragraph in my quote to New England's post.

i don't even watch college football. city of champions, brih. we are all about our pro sports teams.

i just don't like to see a talented, young kid waste his life. he's been to rehab in the past, voluntarily. and he's also refused to go back to rehab.. the guy has a genuine problem with booze and whatever else he does. if he wasn't star athlete with a lot of money he'd have been in and out of jail several times. he pissed away what could ahve been a very lucritive career. well documented incidents of whooping on his GF.

here's an article from february. among other things, manziel's father says he's not sure if he'll make it to his 24th birthday.

            just partying doe, evidently.

But he's living it up on his parents money. He hasn't made enough to party and buy expensive stuff like he does. That's not right.

What do you mean living up on his parents money? Are you being sarcastic?

Does he not have a million dollar NFL rookie contract?

red sox are a business exclusively. they develop talent because it's good for business, sign free agents because it's good for business. not really a baseball team any more. sometimes they can hardly field a passable team. other years they are on fire with guys they brought up themselves. odd franchise. worth freaking billions and billions.

trader danny has the celtics in rebuild mode. also breaking in a new coach. don't follow college basketball well enough to know if there's good talent in the draft, but i do know that ainge has stocked up a ****load of picks.

b's are in **** waters, too. slackin on they mackin. one of the most expensive tickets in hockey, and they can't even make the playoffs. if you watch the teams in the later orunds of the playoffs you see that the bruins ahve no hope of competing in today's nhl. it has moved past the big bad bruin days.

pats are doing fine, doe. tom brady is still ridiculously good looking.
