prime for prime Pac > Morales

in their prime years Pac has done more than Morales and what Eric did during his prime was GREAT Pac is just GREATER...

both guys are ATGs, Legends and I would never diminish what both have accomplished ...

Manny "never wins fantasy fights" because they didn't coincide.

That is to say he was prime at one point, peak at another.

Another good example of this would be Lennox Lewis.
I've tried explaining that before in Pac fantasy fight threads, I am a huge fan but its hard for him when talking fantasy matchups. He was in his physical prime before he was at his most skilled, and at his most skilled in divisions where he was too small and slightly past his physical best. And the two divisions where he would fare best in fantasy matchups, 135 and 140, he fought a combined two times, and its hard to really know.

      • I see a lot of flodiots trolling in this thread. You can start a thread about "Shot Morales vs prime Pacquiao who will win?" but they can still find excuses how Morales will win.

He was just fighting lesser quality fighters at 135+.

Morales, Barrera, Marquez > Clottey, Cotto, Hatton

Pac weighed about the same for all these fights, in the 140s, whether it be fight night where he'd put on 13 lbs overnight or whether he is weighing in against Cotto at 144.

          • To tell you the truth, I don't see any attributes like physical strength or special skills from prime Morales to beat prime Pacquiao.

Prime Morales has no power to even bother or make prime Pacquiao think twice nor he has the speed to compete with Pacquiao. His aggressive come forward do or die attitude we know very well that will play in Pacquiao strength. As shown when Pacquiao annihilated Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Mosley and Margarito. Take note, these fighter are much bigger than Morales and punches many times harder and Pacquiao took them with ease while able to tko/ko/kd a few of them.

Everybody it this forum knows to beat Pacquiao you must have the style of Marquez or Floyd. Besides prime Pacquiao already koed Morales twice and Prime Morales will suffer the same for the above reasons unless of course he magically mastered Marquez counter punching skills overnight.

He was still obviously a better fighter in 2008 than he was in 2005. The second Marquez fight showed that. After that, he would have probably been in his absolute prime at 135 and 140. We saw brief glimpses of that in the two times he fought there. Unfortunately, he didn't stick around, and we can't know for certain.

To wake you up. one dimesional, bloodied eyes covering his vision while wearing pillow gloves Pacquiao still gave Morales a life and death for his win and was koed both in their next two fights. This is a fact. Coulda, woulda, shoulda <<<<< fact!

Past prime Morales beat Pacquiao. Of course prime Morales has the ability to beat Pacquiao. Unless you are saying prime for prime, p4p, take prime 118 and 122 Morales and pit him against 135 Pacquiao. Even then, Morales should be the favorite because he did beat Pac, when he was past prime.

Possibly, but he fought pretty **** fighters there in comparison to the guys he was fighting at 126-130.
