Brooks, froch, wlad, kovalev, gardivivh, lomochenko,GGG , and the list goes on seem to be handling theirs against the U.S. just fine.

I expanded the demographic for the hell of it.

So Hatton struggled in the US because he lost to two P4P top 10 fighters? And Burns hasn't even travelled out of the UK.

Hamed and Hatton won plenty of fights in America. Both only lost to hall of fame elite fighters and out of those combined 3 losses in America for those two fighters, only 1 of them was against an American fighter. So that's not a moral victory for Americans, it just so happened the fights took place in America. It had nothing to do with being in America. Hatton could have fought Pacquiao and Mayweather in his own kitchen and still got KO'd.

Your logic is very stupid. It's like generalising American fighters using bad examples saying they all struggle in the UK because Lacy got whooped by Calzaghe.

It's an individual sport, it's got nothing to do with countries. Many European fighters have gone to America, plenty have won and plenty have lost. Many American fighters have gone to Europe, plenty have won and plenty have lost.

There is no logic in what you're saying. it works both ways.

What about the current fighters in Wlad, Brook, Provodnikov, Kovalev, Postol, Gradovich, Lomachenko, Kiko Martinez etc
Yeah but a lot of the successful ones train in the states. Loma, Khan, Provodnikov, Kovalev, and GGG. I'm not talking about just fights but the trainers and sparring partner quality.

I see more Americans struggling in America than anybody else.

Wlad came to america several times, never mentioned the Cruiserweight champs though.

that's not at all true OP, Hatton, Naz, Calzaghe, Vitali, Lewis, Froch have all had sustained periods of success and only ever lost to the best...and in the case of Naz and Hatton, those losses weren't just to American fighters but to great fighters to happened to be boxing in the US.

Is it because of lack of good trainers or sparring partners?
Your thread is years out of date. European fighters are doing really well fighting in the US right now. Ask Kell Brook or Sergey Kovalev.

It's simply because the best talent comes to the U.S. like a poster above said American fighters do well locally in their region but end up struggling against more elite international fighters. Most UK fighters who go for titles only do so after winning more domestic titles (British, commonwealth, etc.). Because America just tends to have the more attractive pay days that's where all the talent flocks. You can get great sparring partners in either the UK or the us but when you think about it as well as Americans there are Mexicans, Puerto ricans, Argentinians and now Eastern Europeans. The talent pool is just much larger than it used to be. Both American and UK fighters tend to struggle in the higher levels. But tbh the elite are always elite because they are good not just due to nationality. Froch for example has taken bigger fights than the majority of UK fighters and as a result does not struggle with the higher levels. Khan was slightly protected early on and hence had a hard time.
