A marine general loved 1911 and the marines was the last service to still use them.

But I think the troops complained because it only holds 8 rounds.

I think marines use glock 9mm now.

1911 is the best handgun i've ever fired. the slim profile, grip angle, smooth trigger pull makes it feel like it's an extension of your arm. no modern plastic gun compares imo. i own a couple now, springfield was my first buy and then upgraded to a colt series 70. get one now.

Gun shop guys tried to push a Springfield professional on me.

And then nighthawks

$3-4k

I'm like no thanks.

I'd rather buy 2 springfield trps

Or 4 springfield loaded

A small box of handgun ammo is at least 20 rounds if not 50.

$3-4k? **** that. my springfield is the base model, mil-spec, it's solid out of the box for the low price. spending big money on 1911s might as well get a colt cause they have the best resale value. colt is the coca-cola of 1911s. only way to justify a $4k "off-brand" 1911 is if you're going to compete with it.

There could be a skew of people with lots of guns and not necessarily bullets for all of them.
