You act like the Mexicans built modern day California, like all the Tech companies and Hollywood was created by Mexicans. Mexicans weren't even a thing in California pre 1980's, California voted Republican until 1990.

And in your eyes you can view the Southwest however you want, fact of the matter is its NOT Mexican and will NEVER be Mexican. Thats why even now you probably speak better English than Spanish, and after your kids and grand kids assimilate into the general American population they'll forget what Mexico even is.
