There are somewhat reliable tests that can be undertaken to determine whether a fetus is likely to be born with Down Syndrome but no guarantees

Unless something has changed since the birth of my last kid 8 years ago, you can’t be certain until at the very least near the end of term and that makes abortion dangerous to the mother

So the question is really “abortion legal or not?” because safe term is known
