  • Why did Martinez / Geale accept a catch with Cotto, but GGG took step aside money?

How much money would K2 have made for Golovkin if they fought Cotto? How much stock power would Golovkin receive with PPV?

Golovkin vs Cotto would've made 800k PPV innit?

Why didn'T Abel and Loeffler just troll media like ''Gennady can make 155 if he wanted to, I've said it before and I'll say it again, nobody from 154-168 can hang with Golovkin. We'll be glad to give Cotto a catchweight, but that's if he wants it. We will give Cotto the catch, so the ball is in Cotto's corner. We are not accepting any step aside fees, Gennady is the mandatory for Cotto and Gennady has earned this position since beating Rubio.''

If they agreed to have a 147 bulk up muscle in a Brook and didn't want to fight him at a catch, why not Cotto!? wait what?

Nice to see you step up your troll game. You used to be a B- quality troll. Insinuating that Golovkin ducked Cotto brings you to a whole new level.

im pretty sure ggg would have accepted a 159 pound catch weight if cotto offered it like in the martinez fight but cotto knew that was a no go. geale had no power so he accepted whatever he was told. ggg had power and took millions of cottos money and cotto cried about it and lost his belt anyway. fitting end to a coward

Pretty sure GGG accepted a step aside because he was promised by the WBC that a mandatory fight would be enforced straight after the fight. The WBC kept bending the rules for Cotto and Canelo and delaying cut off dates until they couldn't anymore.

He also probably knew Cotto would never fight him anyway so might aswell make some step aside fee, easy money.

And in the event Canelo won (which he did), I'm not sure GGG's team expected Canelo to b1tch out that easily and hand his belt over.

yet ward wanted ggg to sign a contract to fight him where ggg would have to wait for ward to fight 2 tune ups first. very realistic.

Try to find inconsistency from Abel regarding anything Cotto after they had beaten Rubio. This a Gennady who's 3 years younger than today.

Let's use some logic here: If Cotto had consistently done catchweights with Martines and Geale, why would Gennady be any different with catchweight media demands?

The probability is that K2 didn't want catchweight scenarios during that time. This is plausible for the simple fact they denid Kell Brook his 157 catchweight and they dismissed the fight in public media! Then magically Hearn and Loeffler made the bout. GGG fans like to blame Eubank Jr. for this which is comedic.

Again, we've got Heilland who's been waiting taking step aside fees who's also a Southpaw, and whadyaknow, John Ryder was at 160 with Hearn, who is also a Southpaw, that was available but they went with Brook....

Yall still want to give in?
