  • Andre Berto Talks About Floyd's Psychological Brilliance

    • He doesn't have big power but his punches are sharp enough to make you reset, which throws you off your plan (we saw that plenty against Oscar and Marquez)
    • He's looking at EVERYTHING at all times, seeing if you're breathing hard, watching the clock, watching everyone's position, and plans everything right in front of your face (we saw that against Canelo)
    • Most fighters are trained to come forward and attack, but Floyd's style makes you have second thoughts, and when you stop following the game plan, you get caught (we saw this against Cotto)
    • Floyd is constantly looking to slow the pace down because he knows it favors him (we saw this against Manny)
    • Berto knew going in that Floyd would fight defensive, but thought he would just attack like he usually does

What's funny is, nothing of what he said is eye-opening. They sound like basic things a good trainer should be telling their fighter. Imagine if Choco adopted those bullets - the guy would have never lost.
