I'm with JRo. Out of everybody in the Middleweight division, Pirog deserves the fight the most because Danny Jacobs trumps anything Golovkin has done. If HBO doesn't have him fight on the undercard, then it will look like they are trying to protect Martinez even if they rejected Zbik. And even though that is good since Zbik is a woeful opponent, Lee isn't a good fighter either. If he was, he would've beaten Vera like James Kirkland did.

why would lee get a shot at the best middleweight in the world? he hasn't beaten diddly squat! give someone who actually took a risk and won the fight like pirog. make lee fight another up and comer like golovkin or ndjikam and the winner can get a shot. all these guys continue to fight bums and expect to be rewarded. why not fight each other to earn a shot instead of giving every hyped up unproven guy their own shot. that's how boxing should work but each promoter has his own guy he wants to protect. sad sport.

Damn Tunney. I didn't know he did all that until you said he did. But props for all that.

Amateur results do not hold alot of water when referring to the pros. 20-0 record is good obviously but he hasn't fought anyone to really set him apart from other MWs.

He may be elite someday but that doesn't mean he gets thrown into a fight against Sergio now.

fights like this shouldnt be on hbo. i dont really support elite-level fighters taking "gimme" fights either. and if theres absolutely nobody quality that you can fight, at least save the hbo and showtime dates for interesting match ups.

with that being said, i hope andy lee knocks him out. andy lee lol.

And today, defending his WBA middleweight title, Golovkin KOed a tough Columbian fighter with a body punch (Nilson Julio Tapia, who had never been stopped before).

Tapia stayed down in pain for another 30 seconds after he was counted out.

Sturm has been ducking Golovkin for a year now, he'll never be brave enough to face him.

Well he's been winning his fights impressively, including the one today. Golovkin's been ducked by Sturm and N'Jikam for a reason.

Don't you think the race card bit is getting a bit tired Tunney? You rank up there with Jessie Jackson and David Duke in the Top 3 PFP Ethnocentric sub-humans.

No, if you want the truth, Abe Foxman is more ethnocentric than Jackson, Duke and me combined.

He thinks former president Jimmy Carter and South Africa's Desmond Tutu are nazis.
