Arguably, same could apply to the Mayweather -Maidana fights.. lol
He did what he's supposed to do against Alexander and Collazo, underperformed against Diaz and Algieri. He hasn't had one great performance under Hunter.

Performance evaluation can be subjective in some cases but in others it's pretty undeniable. He shut out Alexander and Collazo, they were virtually punch perfect performances. No one beat Alexander as clinically as that before or since. Dropped Collazo 3 times, outboxed him extremely easily.

Diaz was coming off a Draw with Shawn Porter only 4 months earlier, Khan beat him in one fight, Porter needed 2. Algieri he beat 9 rounds to 3, as two judges correctly scored. That was a pretty one-sided fight, not the close fight that some have claimed. But I'd agree Diaz and Algieri definitely weren't Great performances they were only decent or passable.

Khans worse with Hunter he improved in some areas but looking at the overall picture he's worse. not as good offensively or defensively he still gets caught maybe even more and doesn't have the same legs to run. Alexander would have been easy enough at 140 Algeiri would have put up a fight but Khan would probably run away with it collazo is decent but Khan clinched a lot. He can't seem to get off as easy as he used too

In your world that is a fact. I see more like non stop excuses
