This thread is the definition of delusional.

Please explain to us what was so great about Abraham, Kessler, Bika, Green? Kessler was elbowed and headbutted which opened up four cuts on his face. Froch he fought dirty as well. Dawson weight drained himself to fight Ward at 168, and Ward demanded a 172 lb. catch weight for journeyman Paul Smith. He got a gift in Kov I and low-blowed his way to victory in Kov II.
Abraham, Kessler, Froch, Kovalev and even arguably Barrera were all A level fighters in their primes. Guys like Green, Rodriguez, Miranda etc. were hard hitting contenders. You fight that many punchers in a row, that's a huge risk, punchers always have a punchers chance.

The biggest thing is that Ward took them head on with a mere 5 years pro experience, these guys were seen as absolute killers, Ward dominated them.

Abraham could've easily taken ggg's career path, he was undefeated at 160, made 10 title defenses (4th most all time), he was folding up guys left and right. He could've stayed, broken Hopkins' record, never chased greatness, his only real threat in the division was Pavlik at that time. Instead he chose greatness, failed, but still took on the risk. Even at his old age, far past his prime he was still taking out a top 5 W on ggg's resume, Murray.

Even Pavlik chased greatness, could've stayed at 160, instead moved up to LHW for a bout with Hopkins which ruined him. Taylor moved up, Martinez moved up, Kessler fought Calzaghe and gave him a tough fight.

If Kovalev or GGG had Ward's resume you Ward slurpers would be picking it apart calling Abraham, Kessler and Dawson bums. Truth is, Froch was his biggest win, and he had to fight him dirty in order to get that win. Since when is Froch an ATG?
Except they don't, and Kov's resume is better than ggg's, utterly dominating his competition not going life and death with B level fighters like Jacobs.

Like I said, Abraham was on ggg's career path, except for fighting 147lbers and 154lbers repeatedly, even he wouldn't stoop that low.

Froch has victories over Pascal, Kessler, Taylor, Abraham, Johnson, Groves x2, that is a damn fine resume, makes ggg's look like complete shyt.
