Google translate so forgive the syntax errors:
"If you are poor and you steal a bank, if you kill someone in self-defense, this is forgivable, Jesus Gonzales launched a handful of journalists. But if you attack with girls 14, 15, forces you to prostitution, you viols, then you're just a bunch of crap. "
The five victims of Stevenson and his accomplices did not have 14 or 15 years, but 17 to 25 years. The boxer Longueuil has also never been convicted of sexual assault, but pimping, assault and threats. Nevertheless, details of the crime are chilling.
The whole story took place between November 1997 and September 1998. Stevenson was then 20 years old and began a promising career as an amateur boxer. But it was also part of a gang with three accomplices: a sidekick oldest was the leader when Stevenson played the role of bodyguard.
The modus operandi was to recruit young girls to get them to live in an apartment with them and involve them in their escort agency. The gang members were often violent with "their" girls took all their money and have even organized boxing them.
"I gave them all the money I made, I had no choice. They knew where my mother was, "said one victim was 19 years at the trial in 2000.
A police operation has put an end to prostitution gang operations in September 1998, after one of the victims had managed to escape and warn the police.
Adonis Stevenson, now aged 34, took over the boxing after serving 18 months in prison. The story remained largely unknown and Stevenson has quietly risen through the ranks of his sport. His fight at the Bell Centre on Saturday could propel a very close fight world championship 168 pounds.
In Nov. 1998 boxer Stevenson Adonis was arrested among others, including Melissa-Lachance-Thibault for their involvement with a pimping operation. For entertainment they would force the girls to fight each other nude until one was knocked out. If there was no champ he'd knock one woman out himself. The gang would threaten to kill their parents. The girls were started off as strippers before being put into prostitution. Five were arrested in all, they all ranged between 20 and 23 years old. It happened at 8625 Judith-Jasmin Anjou.Last edited by Weebler I; 01-04-2013, 03:04 PM.

Those are news papers story, none of the info you're reading are accurate.
Some info mentioned he served 18 months, some says 48 months.
Some says minors were involved, some people exagerate the story by remixing sexual assaults & girls boxing bets.
Look, Adonis Stevenson served his time for some kind of felony related with Pimping, but since 1998; he's no longer part of a gang and time make this athlete a more disciplined person.
