As for the $50 million, the premium networks have always guaranteed the purses for the big PPVs. Showtime has confirmed the money was real. They're the ones that would have put up the money.
You are a liar. I hope the IRS is reading this, because what you said about filed purses would be in major tax law violations.

You are just another propaganda agent from Pbc . Probably those ghetto twins of Sam Watson, that loser .

Many do know but admittedly, they are not casuals. Added with America's obvious racial problem and it's true, Wilder doesn't get the full support he should in the US. Too bad though ... the boxing/fighting community knows him and he is huge with us. Also, Eddie H. & AJ knows him ... and if they can make a proper offer there is going to be a huge fight with Wilder. Wilder WILL need a fair deal ... no matter how Eddie/AJ feel about it ... and it's gonna have to be a whole lot better than that Parker deal was for Parker ....

Otherwise, Eddie, take your advice .... f*#!-off.

No, I'm not a liar. No, it wouldn't violate federal tax law. You could make a case it violates local tax law, but the commissions usually look the other way.

This has been standard operating procedure in boxing since the 1940s.

All the top US stars do it. Not just Haymon fighters.

Purses from Omaha: Crawford official purse $2 million, guaranteed $3.625 million, Benavidez official purse $350,000, guaranteed $500,000.

        • Well that's the price Eddie has to pay for lying so much. Where's the $15 Mil flat fee he promised? Now the fight is it's going cost him even more; At least half of the total purse split.

          • Stop with the wilder probably made way more than $3 million in his last purses. Porb stop with the wilder probably made way more than $3 million in his last purses..probably ? YES but more like 3.5. He’s never even had a listed purse of 3 million

Crawford fought earlier this month. Listed purse: 2 million. Real purse: At least his guaranteed minimum of 3.625 million.

Wilder's listed purse was higher than Crawford's in his last fight. So even if Haymon's side checks aren't higher than Arum's (news flash, they actually are), that would still mean a purse higher than 3.625 million.

              • so many ldbc brainwashed fans here, its ridiculous.
at this point, anyone who still believes that wilder really wants the fight is just choosing to be flat out stupid

                • I get that 60-40 is unrealistic. But at the same time I don't trust a word that Eddie Hearn says.

Waste of time man. You're talking to a bunch of people who don't understand how any part of boxing works, from how to score a punch all the way to how bouts are made. For instance everyone loves saying Wilder has not made over $5 million, but he actually made over $5 million against Ortiz, according to industry insiders. Those same insiders have said Ortiz cleared $2 million easy off that bout. Unless you enjoy it, your beating a dead horse, who was never truly alive to begin with.

Based on reports from people close to Wilder, he cleared $5 million from the Ortiz bout, and Ortiz cleared $2 million. Take this in to account, Cotto's last fight was a listed purse of $750k, insiders have said he actually made about $15 million off that fight. These guys are doing what Mayweather was doing, they are cutting checks to promotional companies while reporting a lower purse. This has become standard practice for PBC fighters, and people like Mayweather, Pac, and Cotto made a lot of money this way.
