  • TYSON FURY has lifted the lid on his explosive confrontation with Dereck Chisora.

The pair had a heated verbal exchange at ringside last Saturday during Young Mutley's fight with Frankie Gavin on Frank Warren's bumper bill at London's O2 Arena.

British and Commonwealth champion Chisora had to be ushered away by Warren while Fury was escorted out of the building by security.

And Fury admits it was the perfect way to light the blue touch paper ahead of his crack at Del Boy's titles on July 23.

The unbeaten 22-year-old said: "I got there and had every intention of keeping a low profile. I had tickets fairly far back in the arena and I just wanted a quiet night.
"But my uncle pointed out where Chisora was sitting and a couple of my friends reminded me about some of the stuff he'd said in the papers about me not being a proper fighter.

"He'd been saying that my promoter Mick Hennessy had been trying to steal the British title from him to give it to me without us fighting, but that's just not the case.

"After they said that to me, I thought about it for all of three seconds before telling myself, 'I've got to have him for that'.

"So I ran down the stairs, jumped a couple of barriers and made it past security to the ringside barrier where I shouted, 'Oi, Chisora'.

"He didn't answer so I tried again with, 'Oi, Del Boy'. He turned around and I said, 'Who do you think you are talking about me in the papers? Do you honestly think you can get away with that?'

"He was lost for words so I followed it up by telling him that I'll knock him out when we fight. I told him I'd kill him.

"He looked scared and backed right up. Of course I said a lot more to him and was screaming abuse, but he backed up about 20 yards before giving it large about there not being enough money on offer.

"I replied with, 'Money? It's all about money is it? I fight for honour, not money!'

"So I ripped my shirt off and told him I'd fight him then and there. I did a bit of shadow boxing but no punches were thrown as Warren ushered him away
"The shirt was off purely because it's a tradition type of thing. You don't have a proper scrap with your shirt on!"

Fury insists he is already in fantastic shape and cannot wait to get in the ring with Chisora at Wembley Arena.

But he fears the champion may be thinking about ducking out of their battle of Britain.

The Mancunian added: "I'm about two months ahead of where I should be. To be honest, I haven't stopped training since Christmas.

"I've been having some great sparring with John McDermott and I've got two Americans coming over in the middle of June.

"I'm in fantatic shape and my mind's set mentally — I'm going to kill him stone dead.

"I can't wait for the fight but the only thing I'm worried about is whether he's going to pull out or not.

"He keeps going on about the money not being good enough but the purse bid is more than he's ever been paid in his career. I don't know what his problem is.

"I just don't think he wants to fight me because he knows he's going to lose — he can't see a way to beat me.

"I think he'd rather give his titles up and go elsewhere. If I hadn't kept the pressure up and backed him up against the wall, I think he'd have already walked away.

"He's in a position now where he can't not go through with the fight. He if does dodge me, he's going to lose people's respect and look like a wimp.

"I think him and Warren want to move on and go for the European title instead of defending against me.

"But what I've done is put it in a situation where he's got to face me or be stripped of the titles. If he is stripped of the belts, I might end up fighting Martin Rogan for them at the same venue.
"Regardless of who it is on July 23, I'm confident I'll beat anyone put in front of me."

Fury, who has won all 14 of his pro fights, has often been criticised for his physique.

But he insists his fitness has never been in question and that 10 knockout victories back up the fact that he's got dynamite in his hands.

The 6ft 9in heavyweight said: "When I do train properly and eat properly, no one can beat me. I have been doing the right things and I've been living on hold basically.

"I've moved away from home and I'm staying in Luton on a travellers' site in a caravan. I'm putting myself in uncomfortable zones and doing everything I've never done before. I'm putting everything into this fight.

"The fitness has never been an issue. I've got a naturally good engine but my problem has been overtraining.

"My body shape is never going to be like David Haye's because it's very hard for someone who's 6ft 9in to get like that. It's easier for smaller guys than it is for a big man, everyone knows that.

"As long as I'm fit and strong, it doesn't bother me what I look like.

"Everyone has to slag someone on something, don't they? They couldn't do it on my boxing because I've done everything asked of me.

"So the only thing they could get to me on was the body shape. I've been working on it, working on it and working on it — and it's finally getting there.

"I wouldn't say I've got a six-pack, but I'm in good shape. I'm as fit as I've ever been and I'm in the best shape of my life."

Much like the recent grudge match between James DeGale and George Groves, Fury insists the rivalry between him and Chisora is 100 per cent genuine.

There is real animosity between the duo and Fury is determined to leave the champion reeling both inside and outside the ring.

He said: "I don't like the kid. He's a fake character and is not real at all. When he's around people, he's really mouthy and whatever, but he's not really like that. I can see through him.

"When it comes to talking, no one can beat me because that's just my game. He really doesn't want to get into a war of words with me because he's got no chance of winning.

"I know I can outbox him and I'll prove it on July 23. I've got the power to knock anyone out, as you saw in my last fight against Marcelo Luiz Nascimento.

"He could punch a hole and was certainly no pushover, but I dealt with him and one shot KO'd him completely.

"People think Chisora's a puncher but he's not. He wears people down, he's not a one-shot knockout artist.

"I'm not either, but I'm one hell of a bigger puncher than he'll ever be. He hit Sam Sexton with about 40 punches in one round, right hands bang on the chin, and didn't even put him over.

"Anyone who has shown a little bit of resistance against Chisora has left him struggling. He's more the kind of boxer who looks for the referee to jump in and save the other guy rather than doing the job himself."

Come July 23, the time for talking will be over and British fight fans will have a much clearer picture of what the future holds for Fury.

As for the man himself, he is in no doubt about where his career is heading. He added: "I'm not looking past Chisora, but after him the world's my oyster."

I hate all this staged BS. I was at the arena and Tyson Fury was sitting on a chair about 5 metres from the ring. Gavin vs Mutley was so poor that Warren decided to have these two guys mock up an argument. The whole thing was staged worse than WWE. He didnt leap over any barriers.

Why would Warren stage this??? The fight is under the Hennessey promotion.

LOL! So who was the guy on here saying they had a punch up and Chisora shouted for security to help? I thought it was bull****. What Fury described was pretty much what i saw - just abit of handbags and Warren and then security breaking it up.

Makes me laugh the people on here who talk ****. I mean what does he personally gain by making up a lie like that?

Edit- Mrpedigree on another thread "I was there , who else see Young tyson put derick on his back with a nice few punches ?? Derick called for the security to break it up lol...Tyson will beat derek chisora imo ...derek chisora looked terrified lol"
