[QUOTE=Cutthroat;17789764]Kov's fans fail to understand his stamina was completely GONE. Ward was nailing him with a ton of shots. Kov was completely unable to hold onto Ward, there was NO stopping Ward's attack. He was unable to defend himself, unable to generate any offense.

Well here is Kovalev avoiding Ward's hook right before the final flurry of lowblows, so not so defenseless:

And to say Kovalev was very tired, how does Ward look after the stoppage, not too good himself:

The fight was stopped early. That's obvious when most people thought when ref stepped in, it was to warn ward was going to get points deducted or warning. If not those 2 reasons the ref stepping in was surely to warn kovalev not to play act about low blows and pretend to be hurt.
If ref genuinely thought kov was hurt he should have given warning he is worried and needs to see something from him.
That way we know what is up and kov knows the deal and the stoppage wouldn't seem so out of blue and sudden

Nonsense. The ref could have at least did a full count, then ask him if he wants to continue. Ward would have won anyway, but with none of this controversy.

What I also observed from this ref is that when Kov was fighting for his life clinching, the ref's break was instant. Compare that with any fight and the ref almost separates them at a good distance apart.

It was close up to this point. We don't know who'd have won.
If ward had dominated the last 2or 3rounds then stopping a fight is option.

Stoppage was a little early. I was hoping Weeks let Ward beat Kov up more. Kov talked a LOT before the fight. Tough talk, black jokes on social media, said he was gonna kill him, etc.

Weeks should've let Ward get his revenge for that rather than stop it and allow Kov to get another payday.

I wonder if NSAC investigated if Duva paid Weeks to stop it?

They also deserve every chance to live too! Kovalev looked content holding his little boy at the press conference and happy with him. It's highly ignorant to assume a sport, nothing more than a game, is somehow more important than going home healthy

Vitali Klitschko's face was falling apart and they still let him continue fighting for several more rounds.

Kovalev bends at the waist and the ref jumps in immediately.
