I don't think Keith Thurman wants anything to do with Errol Spence Jr either, but he's not a punk and pride has a way of dictating things. Keith Thurman will get his return fight (Josesito Lopez is basically the kind of solid, rugged guy for that matchup) and then the public will get on his neck.
He might get one more fight after that, but then the business will compell the fight, he and Spence will split a likely guaranteed $6m+, and he'll get over any unease.

There's a reason why Zurdo Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Oscar Valdez and others are stuck can crushing and ducking fights. There's a reason why Mikey Garcia is being ignored. There's a reason why Terence Crawford is publicly thumping his chest about ESPN+, without mentioning for a moment the reach of the channel.
PBC fighters go wherever the best deal can be made; Gassiev jumped into the WBSS without waver, and Prograis is happily jumping in to the next one. Frampton, Selby, and Degale took fights with Frank Warren, Amir Khan signed a deal with Eddie Hearn, and even Glowacki ended up going home to fight without issue in Poland and Kameda in Japan.
Showtime is a major buyer, and FOX/FS1/BounceTV cover things for PBC for now, but don't forget that Daniel Jacobs took the money on HBO.
When was the last time that Bob Arum had a fighter on someone else's show?

Even jeff Horn was in his last top rank option and isntnwoth them anymore. The only real in house fights they did for Crawford was Postol and Beltran.

With a purse bid looming Haymon May be forced to allow Gvozdyk on showtime though
