First off, this isnt even a debate.

As I have to tell others, dont use big words you don't understand.

It makes one look ignorant, and insecure about said ignorance.

First of all, Ford isn't Jewish. I heard him say on a talk show that he was raised as an Episcopalian. Only one of his grandfathers was Jewish. Not that it matters anyway except to some nutjobs.

Second, I did not read all his comments but as a scientist myself I believe that our representatives should either know some science themselves or accept the data provided to them by renowned scientists and make decisions based on DATA and not religious beliefs.

As Lord Acton, former PM of the UK once said "I can change my mind if I get new data; can't you?".
