meh he already had dominant wins against solid fighters like Buster Drayton & Steve Little and less than a year later was a dominant champion.

You can't just cherry pick when he became a great fighter. He had good wins and was fighting for a title, no reason to think he suddenly became a great fighter later on.

How is that cherrypicking? Like I said, Norris was just 22 and improved considerably later. Most 22 year olds do. He simply wasn't fully developed at that age and peaked later. Beating Drayton and Little was ok I guess, but you can't compare that to Cuevas with a long string of dominant title fight wins.

He's asking P4P all time. Michael Moorer > Bob Foster which their HW careers proved. Langford, Fitz, Walker were middleweights who had HW punching power how can you possibly rate Foster or even Jackson ahead of them? Common sense people.

He won a championship and absolutely dominated Mugabi and Rene Jacquot beginning his dominant reign at 154 less than a year after getting KO'd by Jackson. There was no indication that he got considerably better after Jackson KO'd him. He legitimately worked his way up with dominant wins over decent competition to a title fight, got KO'd, then less than a year later got another shot and dominated.

You can't just say because he lost he wasn't in his prime. Norris dominated earning his way to a title shot then lost and was right back to dominating and winning a championship less than a year later.

Same thing with Hopkins vs Jones. Hopkins was in his prime and proved it by dominating his way to a title shot and dominating after the title shot

Whether you examine his record or just watch his fights, Terry Norris clearly reached his prime after the Jackson loss. And he wasn't nearly as developed as Cuevas or Duran.

I'm not sure we can say Moorer was a harder puncher at light heavyweight than Bob Foster because how they did at heavyweight.

Additionally Foster fought during the time when they did same day weigh-ins. Moorer was fighting at light heavy even though he weighed 193 at fight time.

But overall how they did at heavyweight had little meaning in comparisons when Foster was icing guys like Dick Tiger for the linear/undisputed title while Moorer was knocking out guys like Ramzi Hassan for the newly created wbo belt. Complete different class of opponent.

So he all of a sudden came in to his prime a year later at the same size, same weight class, with the same trainer, with the same style? That is definition of cherry picking.

If a boxing fan who had no idea who Terry Norris was to both of these fights with no sound and we asked them if Norris was appreciable better in 1 more than the other. I gurantee they would say no looks like the same dude.

                      Yeah, you're using common sense.
