He's picking Indiana governor Mike Pence as his running mate, which is no surprise really if you've been keeping up with his campaign's vetting process thus far. It was always between Mike Pence and Jeff Sessions. Everybody else either wasn't interested in tying themselves to Trump or wasn't considered valuable enough to the ticket for more than casual consideration. (Christie, lulz)

Pence, a hardcore conservative Christian, is a solid choice to shore up the remaining fence sitters within his own party. He's obviously not going to be able to appeal to minority groups or women by picking a minority or woman running mate, so essentially his campaign has said **** it and gone with trying to unite the base.

It's a smart move, honestly. He was never going to increase his numbers with any demographics outside of angry white guys anyway, so it's best to try to unite the party and see where the chips fall in November.

If he was smart he would make Sarah Palin his VP. Why? Possibility of snagging some of the women voters. However, he'll screw up and make that fat fuk Christie his VP.

Palin pretty much singlehandedly sank John McCain's chances in 2008. Granted, McCain had an awful lot to do with that in his own right by shifting from a more moderate conservative to a diehard tea-party ****wit and Obama being a ****ing superstar, but exit polling at the time indicated a severe loss of votes for McCain (even among his own party) due to picking Palin as his VP.

Chick couldn't even finish her own job as Governor of Alaska, FFS.

Whoever Clinton picks as her VP might throw some shade at Pence during the VP debate, but overall he's a pretty "blah" candidate with nothing too controversial (other than his discriminatory "religious freedom" bill) in his closet.

Democrats aren't going to waste their time attacking a guy like that. Particularly when he's running for a position which is basically just a glorified hype man : VPs have no real, discernible power whatsoever other than to break a tie vote in the Senate if needed.

No need to waste any time attacking an empty suit when the head of the ticket is where all the smoke is at.

Its becoming more apparent that Hilary is going to have a tough time winning states where the percentage of white people is above the national average. The FBI non indictment did her no favors.

Hilary is just terrible at running for office. She could end up being the person who lost to a black male Freshman Senator who was a virtual unknown and a reality TV billionaire who has acted the way he has.
