That and it seems overtly displayed... as if they want everyone to know the system can be rigged so they can claim foul after their loss.

But then it's voter ID so they better watch it.

      • I've always been told, "never mail cash."

People should put their vote on the same level of security as a Christmas card

        • Laptop & Memory sticks used to program Philly’s voting machines were stolen from elections warehouse
          Philadelphia Inquirer:

The discovery set off a scramble to ensure voting machines had not been compromised and to contain the fallout. City officials said the theft would not disrupt the election.

A laptop and several memory sticks used to program Philadelphia’s voting machines were stolen from a city warehouse in East Falls, officials confirmed Wednesday, setting off a scramble to investigate and to ensure the machines had not been compromised.

Though it remains unclear when the equipment was stolen, sources briefed on the investigation said the items vanished this week. The laptop belonged to an on-site employee for the company that supplies the machines. It and the USB drives were the only items believed to have been taken.

City officials vowed Wednesday that the theft would not disrupt voting on Nov. 3.

“We are confident,” said Nick Custodio, a deputy to Lisa Deeley, chair of the city commissioners, who oversee elections, “that this incident will not in any way compromise the integrity of the election.”

          • Mail carrier arrested after random man finds dumped ballots & other mail

Mail carrier arrested after random man finds dumped ballots & other mail

A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier from Hudson County, New Jersey, was arrested for discarding mail. It included 99 general election ballots sent from the County Board of Elections that were intended to be delivered to West Orange residents, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

            ×
Nicholas Beauchene, 26, of Kearny, is charged by complaint with one count of delay, secretion, or detention of mail and one count of obstruction of mail.

            NOT DISCOVERED BY OFFICIALS

The USPS and no other official discovered the problem. A random man found it.

Howard Dinger originally discovered the mail behind a North Arlington town bank, and notified police. While copies of the mail were all retained as evidence, the original pieces have been sent to their intended recipients.

“Just found two to 300 lb of mail dumped in a dumpster behind one of the banks I service. Including at least 200 ballots. This is the kind of stuff you just can’t make up. And yes it was reported to the local police and the postal police. “

After posting his discovery on Facebook, Dinger was met with criticism that it was Fake News:

            Facebook post

“I found the mail personally and I can vouch for its authenticity. The local police were called and so were the postal police. And all the people that are pissed off about me posting this are probably postal employees that have done the same (—) thing . That’s the only reason I can see for being pissed off about my post. So for all those who have a problem with what I posted go jump in a lake.”

The delay of mail charge is punishable by a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The obstruction of mail charge is punishable by a maximum penalty of six months in prison and a $5,000 fine.

According to court documents, roughly 1,875 pieces of mail – including 627 pieces of first class, 873 pieces of standard class, two pieces of certified mail, 99 general election ballots destined for residents in West Orange, and 276 campaign flyers from local candidates for West Orange Town Council and Board of Education – were recovered from dumpsters in North Arlington and West Orange on Oct. 2 and Oct. 5.

The intended destination for the ballots and campaign flyers are heavily Democratic areas.

But don’t worry. Mail-in ballots are perfectly safe and secure. Democrats said so. On Facebook, you are in trouble if you dare say otherwise.

            • 58,000 mail-in ballots missing in Pennsylvania

58,000 mail-in ballots supposed to be sent out to voters last week in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, are now missing in action

The entire Westmoreland County Election Bureau staff has been working diligently to process the extremely large number of both absentee and mail-in ballot applications that have been submitted.

This is the insanity going on throughout the country. Keep that in mind as you read this.

Mail-in ballots that were supposed to be sent out to voters last week in Westmoreland County are missing in action, according to the Trib.

The elections bureau’s director said she cannot confirm if any of the 58,000 ballots that were requested and processed had been mailed out yet.

When voters called the elections bureau looking for their ballot, they were told the ballots were mailed Tuesday, but sources told the Trib that was not the case.

State elections officials approved the ballots late last month for early mail-in voting to begin.

This is one county, now multiply that by all the counties in the country. Democrats know that mail-in voting is the most unreliable system possible for voting and they are using COVID as an excuse to implement it now, months before a major election.

              • 370K Pennsylvania mail-in ballot applications rejected

About 372,000 requests were rejected, as reported by ProPublica on Friday, largely because many of them, about 90%, were duplicates. Overall, one out of every five requests for mail-in ballots are being rejected, according to the publication.

The main reason? Many people who voted during the June primaries may have already checked a box to request a mail-in ballot for the November election.

However, as noted by ProPublica, people who made more than one request should eventually receive their ballot. They can also head to the polls on Election Day.

More than 2.5 million Pennsylvanians have requested mail-in ballots this election.

The state is expecting a record volume of ballots to be sent by mail and, as it stands, counties can’t begin the cumbersome process necessary to ultimately tally those votes until Election Day.

There is an ongoing discussion in the state legislature to allow pre-canvassing to begin in the days leading up to the election although an agreement hasn't been struck.

There is concern that the longer it takes Pennsylvania to tally its final vote count, the more likely it is that there will be misgivings about the security of the process.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court added to the confusion when it ruled that if a ballot is not mailed in a “secrecy” envelope it is to be rejected, which adds an additional step to counting the ballots.

The court will also take up whether a ballot should be dismissed if a signature is markedly different than the one stored in the voter registration database.

Meanwhile, there is another ongoing battle in the court system over the timeframe for mail-in ballots to be counted. As it stands, the Supreme Court has allowed for ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 6 to be counted.
