Would it have been better for floyd to have gone out on his shield

He fought and defeated an awful lot of boxers who were world champions when he fought them. It's hard to think of a modern boxer who beat more champions when they were champions. He had some cherry picks but so did just about all famous champions.

Look at David haye last fight. That's how it should be. Floyd went out on his terms? But that's his problem everything he did in his career was under his terms.
So Floyd did what he needed to do. Maybe what guys like you needed to do was just give him credit for doing what you asked him to do. It’s ok if you don’t like him, but don’t lie and do things like delete posts.
Means you have no credibility and anything you say is invalid.

I m polite but first post in thread was rhetorical question of course floyd should have fought spence, thurman or whoever was best. Floyd was supposedly the best so had to pass torch, changing of guard. That's how it's done there is no exception to this rule.
Floyd fans might not want to hear this but the alternative is being considered a cherry picker right to the end. It's no surprise floyd avoiding toughest test available at end of career because he avoided toughest test throughout majority of career. That's what people will conclude. It would be better for his legacy to have beat spence or thurman to show he was still the best in retirement and that he took toughest tests if possibleLast edited by hugh grant; 06-26-2018, 11:48 AM.
