The whole point of that fight was to gauge how he'd do against a former GGG opponent, and the whole point of a Khan fight (from Saunders side) is to gauge how he'd do against a former Canelo opponent.
At 155 CW, yeah, Khan could be competitive. He was actually out-boxing Canelo up until he got put to sleep. But Khan would need to survive for 12 rounds without going toe to toe. He has a tendency to get caught up in brawls and even if BJS comes down to 155 for the fight, you know he blows up to 170+ for the fight. Khan has the speed, but don't know if he has the power to keep him from getting inside. If Saunders can take the best punches from Lee, Eubank and Monroe, he will walk right through Khan.

Khan is done, his wife is leaving him and he is reduced to wanking into a tissue on skype.

Saunders has never fought at 155 before, the lowest he ever fought was 158 1/2 and that was 10 years ago. Even though they saw great results with his conditioning in the last camp, there's really no telling what sort of BJS shows up at a 155 CW but his own trainer is the one who proposed the idea of dropping to 154. That's pretty much where the gamble is for BJS and for Khan. Now if history is anything to go by, there's a chance he'll be somewhat compromised as a fighter at 155 because he's never had to make that weight in all his 8 years as a pro. And depending on how compromised he is, if he fought someone with the speed of Khan in his first fight down at 155 we might see something similar to a Pac-De La Hoya situation unfold. No guarantee, but it's one plausible scenario at least.

He's actually leaving his wife, I'm surprised he stayed with her this long. The only unfortunate part is that there's a child involved but other than that he's way better off without that girl.
