The Vaquero tradition did come from Spain but Mexico made it it's own and it then traveled down to South America.

Exactly, whatever the Spaniards brought us we added spice to it and made it better. Even the Spanish language itself is way different. They spoke it with some weird ass lisp and we added our indigenous words to it, speaking it without no ***gy lisp or accent.
