  • Kell Brook vs. Gennady Golovkin was an example of great little man vs. good big man.

Kell Brook was on his A-game that night but he was just too small. He is clearly the more skilled operator, does everything well with excellent punch execution. He was able to stun the much bigger man even at a massive size disadvantage. Gennady Golovkin was able to absorb the punishment only because of that size advantage. Some of the punches Brook landed were perfect but had no effect. Brook is no powder puncher. Golovkin had a terrible game plan and was flat-footed throughout. It was only the size and strength advantages which allowed him to walk down, stand right in front and even punch through Kell Brook's guard.

Kell Brook does everything better than Gennady Golovkin and is all around a better fighter. He was just too small and it wasn't a fair fight. Golovkin was exposed in this fight, it's just a shame that Brook had to take that punishment.

If Kell Brook was great he would have won. He got his eye socket broken instead

Wasn't Brook about 5 lbs lighter than Golovkin on fight night? i.e. I don't think size advantage was the major reason GGG stopped Brook in five.
