    Cotto landed 172 punches.

The difference is that most of them were jabs against Pacquiao and against Malignaggi, I rarely saw Cotto even throw a jab.

You need very good power to break jaw, but it's a freak purposeful accident and Cotto had 10 pounds on em. Malinaggi is an idiot either way.

If the injury was right after Hatton fight. It has been six month since that fight. I would think 6 months would be enough time to heal it.
He injured his knee during a basketball game. He had time to rest but they didn't expect that it would bother him in the training. It's not really that serious anyway that require surgery or whatsoever.

        They handled that injury properly.

This time Roach needs to be strict at Pacquiao's training, he should not let Pacquiao do other stuffs aside from what is given in the training program.

Just talking about power connects specifically. Paulie just got hit a lot more than Pacquiao. For the most part, Pacquiao blunted Cotto's offense with movement and decent defense Paulie was just keeping his hands down the entire fight. I don't know why he does that.

              Got these stats from Compuboxonline

              Cotto vs. Malignaggi:
PAULIE MALIGNAGGI (put major league whuppin’ on game Malignaggi, who was cut from accidental headbutt in 1st round. Cotto then dropped Paulie in 2nd. Overall, Cotto landed 34% of his 50 punches per round and 40% of his power shots. Malignaggi’s face was a swollen mask by fight’s end. Cotto had 203-136 edge in total connects and 169-73 edge in power connects. Scoring: 116-112 2x & 115-112.)

              Cotto vs. Pacquiao:
The final CompuBox numbers were indicative of “The Pac Man’s” dominance. The Filipino landed 336 of 780 (43 percent) to Cotto’s 172 of 597 (29 percent) and although Cotto prevailed in jabs (79 of 297 to 60 of 227 – both 27 percent) it was Pacquiao’s comet quick power punching that determined the outcome. In that department the new champion was 276 of 560 (49 percent) to Cotto’s 93 of 300 (31 percent) and the round-by-round numbers demonstrated Pacquiao’s escalating command.

That's all boxingscene. They recycle a lot of their material and add a new headline.
