Outrage Over Secret Halal Meat

HUNDREDS of restaurants secretly serving Muslim halal meat to unsuspecting diners sparked a storm of protest yesterday.

Customers are not warned their meals come from animals that were slaughtered by having their throats slit without being stunned.

The butchery method ordered by Islamic law has been condemned as "barbarically cruel" by animal welfare organisations.

But that has not stopped caterers secretly dishing up halal meat to thousands in hotels, restaurants, schools, top hospitals such as Guy's - and at sports venues Ascot, Wembley and Twickenham.

like what kind of meat? when i was killing animals wed just slit the throat for goats and sheep. course you gotta be quick about it. theres like 3 veins that you gotta cut at once. if you got only the 2 outter ones the animal slowly bleeds todeath but if you get the third one with the 2 outter you get blood clot dropping out that look like giant chunks of red jello and the animal is instanly dead.

i mean sure with cows we would allways do one of those concussion bullets which pretty much kills them.....but wed tell the muzzys that we were just knocking them out and let them do the whole halah thing any ways....

ever hear of a pole axed steer? big hammer with a spi*e on the other side. youd lay your quarter down and take a swing if you didnt kill the cow the next guy laid his quarter down and took his swing untill some one killed the cow and won the quarters. atleast we dont do that any more.

And can you explain to me, why that method of killing would be more convenient/humane for the animal being killed, as opposed to the traditional method?

2. It cant be a carnivorous animal.

Actually in the chicken factories in the UK the birds are stunned before they get their heads cut off.

well as stated above, something like a cow strugling can make the cut very difficult as well with a cow the cut itself needs to be very deep and done quickly. for some one that is not a butcher more often then not they will have to make multiple cuts before the cow dies, causing the cow to die very painfully.

during certain holidays the muslims would request that they kill the animal with their own special knife (some holiday around new years) and many times they would completly screw up killin a goat or sheep resulting in lots of pain for the animal.

i dont know were stunning is praticed on goats chickens and sheep but most every where in the US cows are stunned/killed with a bullet straight to the dome.
