If Boxing fails in the next 3-4-5 years, there's no one to blame but the fighters and promoters.
The writing is on the wall. For the first time in decades boxing will be back on regular TV (FOX-NBC) and possibly others and cable TV (ESPN-FS1-NBCSN-CBSSN) as opposed to just premium cable (HBO-SHO) and small time fights on ESPN Friday Nights.
Not only that, UFC's biggest star is on a 2 fight losing streak. If the boxing world can pick up the casuals that will be leaving the UFC that are just checking for the next best thing ...
Boxing needs to make the next best thing. These guys have personalities and hopefully these deals on ESPN and FOX will push these guys to the forefront.
Deontay Wilder, Terrance Crawford and Errol Spence and the Charlo Brothers need to be names like Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather from the past. We shall see in the next part of the new decade.
