  • Who has sacrificed the most?

Watching that Colin Kapernick Nike Ad, I couldn't think what a load of bullshit on several occasions.

But got me thinking who has sacrificed the most for a cause they believe in or for what is right or for the greater good.

Loss in revenue, friends, opportunities, becoming a pariah, being hated, and throwing away your career for something cause.

Who would be a much more apt person for that Ad rather than Kapernick who has raised his profile, support and revenue from a career where he spent more time watching the game than playing it.

Think back to some of the ATG athletes who were drafted or volunteered into service during the primes of their careers and served honorably...Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Joe Louis, Tony Zale, David Robinson, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, Roberto Clemente and of course Pat Tillman who paid the ultimate sacrifice. There were many other who sacrificed portions or all of their careers.
