  • Manny Pacqui threw less punches than Mayweather???

    http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story...-than-pacquiao

So Calzaghe and Froch can throw 1000 punches, Vitali and Lennox can throw 700...

Yet Manny threw less than Mayweather, and Mayweather in mocked as a Low volume puncher???

WTF, TAHIS WAS MEANT TO BE A SUPPER FIGHT???

The styles. Fighters throw less when they get caught with counters. Pacquiao's output plummeted in the JMM fights too.

hes a shadow of himself and lost.. to a far less washed up fighter

hopefully we can get over it now and realize that was never going to be the "fight of the century"

Mayweather made him gun shy, just as he did with other tough fighters like Guerrero or good punchers such as Canelo.

It's no coincidence it happens to nearly all of them. They are feeling something on those counters they don't like. None of them seem to be in a rush to feel them again and stop throwing.

Floyd threw a lot of jabs.

Pac was getting clinched and headlocked when he tried to throw combos.

Pacs legs are shot. He came in straight lines plodding towards Floyd just waiting to be picked off.

And he hasn't been that super high volume guy in forever either.

There was a lot of wishful thinking about Manny turning back the clock going into this one.

Unfortunately it goes to show how far past it Manny is. He is no longer the animal who threw caution to the wind and threw close to 100 punches per round. Pac's killer instinct is long gone.

So the only Master class was floyd Analysing when a fighter is shot, then using his Long reach advange and pot shotting to get the win.

This has damaged boxing to the casual fan...

He didn't make Maidana gunshy in the first fight (until he punched himself out)

It's something neither Floyd nor Manny fans want to admit because one wants it to be a legendary win and the other just loves Manny.... but he's been damaged goods for a while

He is now 3-3 in his past 6 fights

I witnessed the height of Manny-mania around the Cotto beatdown but at some point reality sets in. He needs to hang em up before he gets knocked out cold and everyone thinks he's dead again. Hell he would probably actually die this time from that Marquez punch.

I don't know what Manny's strategy was, to be quite honest. He looked lost for 95% of the fight. I've seen this decline in him for quite some time, but I have to agree that it was just wishful thinking that he might find some semblance of his former self tonight. Floyd obviously knew what he was doing when he agreed to this fight.
