    A bit strange.
I didn't imagine we would see Joshua/Wilder in April anyway though.

What kind of champion gives his opponent a rematch clause for a voluntary defense? This just makes it look like Wilder is trying to avoid Joshua.

Who said that? Wilder made it clear after agreeing to a flat fee for 2018 and Hearn still refusing to do the fight that he was moving on with his life and not chasing the Joshua fight anymore.

So he's going to avoid Joshua for the rest of his career?

Depends on how long it takes for Joshua to make a respectable offer that makes him interested in the fight again.

Frank Warren said during his interview with BBC radio along with Barry Hearn that nothing will stop either Wilder/Fury winner from facing off against Joshua on April 13. No clue how that is possible if there is a rematch clause unless they made a point of putting it in their contract that the Joshua fight takes precedence over the rematch. Some murky details, hopefully we get a clearer picture soon.

You misunderstood. Wilder was desperate to fight AJ this year.

And what you said is exactly how Hearn is avoiding the fight. The wilder v fury fight is going to do 1 of 2 things INCREASE (the most likely outcome) wilders profile or decrease it. It makes NO sense to negotiate contracts until the fury fight is over.

If the money is something, as a fan, you factor in then for example: many people were saying that Pacquiao should have took the 40 mil. It would have been the most he’s ever made. In hind sight it would have been a huge mistake. No one wants to be shorted and no one definitely wants to GIVE money to their opponent of all people. I believe there could have been a more fair money spilt. Wilder her 50/50 absolutely fu cking not. But walking away with 15 mil would have been like 20%. That’s simply unreasonable
