I learnt ballroom dancing, this gives me a balance to strengthen my legs and improve footwork. As footwork is an important facet for boxer this kind of dancing goes good.

It's BS. I'm a great dancer, took lessons because I was into Bruce Lee. Just another Chinese myth. My footwork never got better, it's different.

If you have like zero whiteboy rhythm, maaaaaaybe it might get you some but nah not true.
