Ray Robinson TKO-6 John David Jackson - Robinson (4-0(3) controled this bout from the opening bell. Jackson (4-11-2) was a game opponent pressing the action but Robinson easily boxed his way through the first 4 rounds of the fight easily winning each round. In the 6th the 2 fighters clashed heads, Robinson came out of it unmarked but Jackson would suffer a wide gash that poured blood from above his left eye. Jackson would survive the round and his corner took care of the wound with great cut work but in the opening of the 6th Robinson would re-open the gash and from there swarmed all over the bleeding Jackson. The end would come shortly after as the doctor looked at the cut and terminated the bout.


Charley Burley TKO-8 Joe Thomas - The heavy handed Joe Thomas (10-4-3(5) came out storming at the opening bell, swinging wildly at Charley Burley (7-1(3) as Burley smoothley glided about the ring pumping his jab into the on coming Thoas' face seemingly at will. Thomas would have his best moments in the 3rd round catching Burley against the ropes and landing a solid hook followed by a stunning right that left Burley dazed and clinching for life. After the fighters were broken apart Thomas continued his rush but was only able to land a couple of grazing blows as Burley showed off his great defensive skills in surviving the round. In between rounds Burleys corner did a great job in reviving Burley and getting him ready for the 4th round. From that point on it was all Burley, switching gears and going on the offensive and bombarding Thomas with various hooks and right hands. In the 8th round Burley would snap Thomas' head back with a viscious right uppercut. Thomas crumbled deep into the canvas as the referee had seen enough and called the fight at that point. Nice win for Burley.
