Ever sued anyone? for what reasons and how much?

I rear ended this guy & he smashed into the car in front of him. They both did the neck crap & charged me for every little nick in the cars. Had to go thru insurance. I think i got sued for $40000 altogether by both parties. Don't know the final payout but my car insurance went up... All because i was staring at a girls ass as i drive by. I didn't even get to touch it...
