  • The notion that older Heavyweights couldn't beat Heavyweight's the size of today

You always hear how Joe Louis wouldn't be able to beat an average Heavyweight today because of the size difference. But.....Joe beat Primo Carnera, who was like 6'5'' and 255-260 lbs in size. And let's not act like he was any less skilled than the majority of the heavyweights today (excluding Wlad and Vitali themselves of course).

But basically....given Joe beat a BIG HEAVYWEIGHT like Carnera in his day, do you think he'd be able to beat these big heavyweights today???

But what of all the Klitschko haters who say they only win because of their SIZE?

    Primo Canera = Tye Fields.

The Klits win because of the abject state of the current Division, not because of their size.

They're just below average against way below average opponents.

If Tony Galento can knock down and humiliate Louis I'd give many heavies today a fair chance. How can anyone say the likes of Wlad, Vitali, Haye or Adamek wouldn't stand a chance when fricking Tubbsy here can do it?

Carnea was truly not very good.

Mike Tyson, small guy, destroyed bigger men.

Rocky Marciano was the size of today's cruiserweights and would've knocked out today's HWs.

Jack Dempsey, again a small guy who would've beat the **** out of today's HWs.

It's not about size it's about fighting ability, and these guys could fight.

well put, theres a reason all the supposedly new star in the heavyweight are getting exposed left and right when they step up, it;s because they rely on one thing which is usually power and when they step up vs a guy who can fight they get exposed.

I'm no big Klitchsko love buddy but the reasons they win is because they're good fighters.

Vitali in particular has gone his entire career without being put on the floor at all in his career while fighting bigger and heavier fighters than any of the HW legends of the past while having the second best ever KO percentage

Vitali may not be the most graceful of fighters but he's got an iron chin and is strong as a frigging ox so would give a good account of himself, and probably beat, most if not all HWs through history

Carnera may not have been that good.....but we're going to act like 95% of who the Klitschko's have fought are good.....
