I suppose if only because there isn't an obvious person who deserves it more. It shows the sad state of the division more than anything. Nobody outside of Joshua fans wants it but it is what it is.

I believe it is the Hearns who do not want to jeopardize the "0" of their cash cow. And publicly lie and proclaim they've tried, etc.

Perhaps ultimately it is the public's fault. If they will pay for this re-mis-match, there's no incentive for the Hearns/AJ to risk it with a fight vs either Fury or Wilder.

Whether he deserves a shot or not, it's the fight that makes the most business sense and therefore is the fight most likely to happen. Like you mentioned, Whyte is the highest ranked fighter available if Wilder and Fury fight again, so nobody should be criticizing Joshua if he fights Whyte again. If Wilder and Fury are tied up, Joshua has to fight someone and Whyte is a top 5 heavyweight. It's a great fight for the British fans while they wait for Joshua to eventually fight Wilder or Fury.

It shouldn't be about whether Whyte has earnt another shot at AJ, it should be about whether he has earnt a shot at a World title. In my opinion, he has done enough to deserve a World title fight.

The only people who disagree seem to think that a loss 3 years ago to the guy currently holding 3 of those titles should discount him from ever getting that chance.

Then you look at other guys who have had World title fights in the last few years, it's ridiculous that Whyte is the can be considered undeserving.

Ortiz can send whyte a contract then. It's shouldn't be too difficult to produce a contract documents.

If he wants to be remembered and considered as one of the best fighters of his era, then it's about time for him to start taking some risks and get out of that protected box of his to begin taking on the much stiffer challengers in the heavyweight division.
The last time I checked, his contracts is still across the Atlantic. It's yet to comeback signed.

It's good and exciting for boxing to know that a sherry picked fury has suddenly become a corner stone due to one over hyped windmill champ.

                Better days ahead.

If they fight again, they will fight for the 3rd time actually, because they fought in the amateurs Whyte won.

it's funny really. wilder boys are doing everything possible to blackmail that fight but in sincerity, it's a failed agenda.

If Breazeale, Molina, takam, Podvetkin, Ortiz , duhaupas, szpilka, arreloa , Washington can get a title shot. All these guys I rate far below whyte.

Why can't whyte get a shot? We have many guys here trying to be emotional and a fan girl but their tears means no shiiiit.

They won't even buy the fight and they complain the most.

Thank you. Everything being equal there’s no way Whyte deserves a second shot before others get their first. It’s the fight that can be made, and worth the most to the promoter. But people act like we didn’t see him get KOd in seven already. If he beats AJ we all lose anyway. Still no ones surprised we saw povetkin and now Whyte.
