What I remember is that he didn't fight very much after Holmes, in all those years after that, there was more talk about fighting than actual fighting. But on the biggest night of his life, he gave the heavyweight champion of the world a heck of a fight. Can't take that away from the big guy!

I'm not old enough to remember that but from what I've read Cooney's people basically cashed out with the Holmes fight.
