  • Will Froch vs Bute match the crowd atmosphere of Tszyu v Hatton?

Not sure if Froch is as big as Hatton in UK generally speaking, he should be because he's a much better fighter overall. If the Bute-Froch fight has anywhere near the same atmosphere as the Tszyu Hatton fight then it's going to be a classic no matter what happens in the ring.

No chance. Not only is the venue smaller, but Hattons fans were more vocal in their support.

Doubt it. Venue is half the size of the one that hosted Hatton - Tszyu, and that fight had a way bigger build up.

It's a little unfair to compare Bute-Froch to Hatton-Tszyu IMO. The Nottingham crowd are probably the best in British boxing at the moment in terms of a real gladiator pit atmosphere. It's merely that Hatton-Tszyu was utterly ****ing mental. It was up there with Eubank-Benn for pure electricity.

No chance, Froch isn't even big outside of Nottingham, he wouldn't sell out the o2 or the MEN. It will be a decent atmosphere, but nothing like the Hatton one.

            Who cares.

Elite fighters (we'll see if Bute's in that class) overcome raucous atmospheres -ever see the Mayweather Hatton at the mgm grand?

In Froch's last fight all he went on about is POWER, POWER, POWER-and he got exposed..now he's off on LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION (which IMO will have little bearings on the outcome of this fight). Skills pay the bills not supporters!

Does Froch even have any Power? When was the last time he put a decent fighter over? Apart from a energy drained Taylor, a decent puncher would have stopped Abraham with the amount of times he hit him cleanly.

This Froch power is a myth IMO.

Wasn't Hatton Tszyu at like 2 am?

Froch isn't a much better fighter then hatton, frock is a warrior no doubt with a better resume but hatton is technically superior and not credited enough for his brilliant body punching and ability to cut of the ring.

Doubt it but the atmosphere should be good.

Hatton supporters were something else. It's rare you see a boxer have that kind of support, the sort of connection with the fans.
