  • Many species of sharks endangered, some probably extinct

Out of more than 489 shark species, only 3 are responsible for fatal, unprovoked attacks on humans: the great white, tiger, and bull.

Many species are endangered, there is no record of the 15 listed at the link below of ever having killed a human.

Sharks have been around since long before the dinosaurs, some 420,000,000 years. They have survived 4 of the 5 major extinction events.

But will they survive this century?

    You hear that Shaolin Sword?

Time to change up your diet son. You are endangering the wonderful species of sharks.

And give up using other endangered species because of having erectile dysfunction.

Some use rare things like powdered rhinoceros horn or the eggs of endangered sea turtles to help them get an erection.

Some said the use of Viagra would reduce the poaching of many of these animals. But sadly, endangered species body parts are still used as aphrodisiacs.

I've seen a docu on Bull sharks, which are apparently the most dangerous sharks on Earth (not the biggest just most dangerous). Basically the documentary debunks this notion that they are dangerous, people are more dangerous. And attacks on people are the people's fault for confusing the sharks. If a shark attacks a human it's because it thinks it's fish or prey. But when a shark knows it's a human it's looking at, it won't attack. The best way to do this is to cover up in black, including your hands. Even if you leave your hand exposed, that could trigger the shark into thinking your hand is a fish.

According to NatGeo, there are 19 shark attacks on humans per year in the US, and 1 every 2 years are fatal. So that's 0.5 deaths by shark attack per year in the US. According to the same NatGeo article, it states that in US coastal cities, lightning strikes kill 37 people per year. So humans are more likely to get killed by lightning than a shark in the US. http://natgeotv.com/ca/human-shark-bait/facts

Despite this, 100 million sharks are killed by humans each year as a "conservative estimate", the true number could be closer to 300 million according to this website http://www.iflscience.com/plants-and...ans-kill-hour/
