My brother is a licensed electrician. During his 20's he owned his own business and was making pretty good money for a kid his age - now he works at SolarCity installing solar panels. He's the brains of the outfit
What are the prerequisites for the apprenticeship if any?
I've always thought that was a cool career. I used to love taking apart audio devices and modifying circuits/soldering everything back together. I suppose real-life electricians do heavier construction-oriented work but it still seems fascinating.
A nice middle ground between swinging a hammer and typing lines of code. Mental/physical balance is important.
