One of my favorite fights to rewatch. Two of my favorite fighters ever.

Morales in that last round is one of the most bada55 things you’ll see in a boxing match.

      Mayweather/Gatti.
      Mayweather/Corrales.
      Mayweather/Augustus.
      Mayweather/N'Dou.
      Mayweather/Chavez (a personal favorite).

It's not even in the same class. Marquez was really the only "good" dance partner for Manny.

          Same

If Morales never achieved another thing in his life he will always be the man that beat Pacquiao in 11 rounds, then stood toe to toe with him in his stance, and lastly made him cry.

Great fight. Two warriors. Pac was cut bad and it played a role in the fight.
Barrera, Pac, Morales and Marquez, All elite, skilled boxers and all great fan friendly warriors.

You may be right and I’m thinking vice versa. I do remember how both men used similar tactics but Morales’ length allowed him to do certain things better.

Either way it's a stupid excuse that deserves ridicule

From round one Manny tried to back Erik up but Erik showed his warrior strength and fought back,
Manny was on the back foot all night.

El terrible really was something special.

Manny just relied on his straight left back then, that and his tenacity, his energy and power.

Morales was much more experienced and had the better skills.

But Pacquiao showed that he was still learning and Roach developed the right hand in the rematch and the rubber.

Pacquiao fought to to stay alive, to eat, the feed his family. There was no time to learn the skills when his left hand and his high energy driven by his literal hunger were doing the job.

The fact he was able to learn so much and develop so much late into his career makes what he done even more amazing.
