Why don't people like the south?

I used to go down to Georgia on business trips for a number of years. The southerners really lay it on with the 'southern hospitality' attitude and I found everyone to be very polite and nice to me.

That's a city. All kind of diverse people are there from elsewhere. Remember I lived there for a good number of years but yow, see if you can answer my vistor message.

Are you serious? Many of them are still fighting the civil war down there. Hate northerners or us "Yankees".

I dislike the south solely based upon climate, bugs, reptiles and topography. I don't have a problem with people from any specific region. Food down south is great and the cost of living is great if you can find gainful employment. But again, too hot and humid, too many bugs. Just not for me.
